Prolight & Sound, Frankfurt is re-establishing its position as a top German event as well as a serious international player on the exhibition circuit - following some years of organizational changes. This year for the first time, the professional live audio and lighting companies were integrated in Hall 9. The atmosphere was quiet, decorous and ideal for business.
The Robe team, arrived fresh and enthusiastic from a hugely busy and successful exhibition in Rimini, after just a few days to draw breath and recharge their batteries! With meetings scheduled every half hour throughout the duration of the show, it was clear from the outset that Robe would make yet another big impact on customers, public and press alike.
Positioned just across the aisle from its well known German distributor LMP, the Robe Show Lighting booth was busy as soon as the show opened, and remained buzzing throughout the show. The aesthetically pleasing booth was constructed by top German production company Satis & Fy. Based on last year’s feedback and experiences, it was open-plan and inviting to everyone wanting a closer look at the full range of Robe products, which were displayed on the floor in 4 groups. Overhead, a well designed and programmed 'ambient' show demonstrated the diverse capabilities of the various Robe projectors on four large semi-transparent screens.
The new Robe AT range of fixtures continued to take centre stage, with almost all the models now in production. After the popular introduction of the ColorSpot 1200 AT, naturally the new ColorWash 1200 AT was the center of attention at Frankfurt, followed closely by the ColorSpot 575 AT and the ColoSpot 250 AT.
“Our marketing strategy for ColorSpot 1200 has been a great success”, says Harry von den Stemmen. “After touring experiences with Linkin Park, Deep Purple, The Rasmus and various artists and shows in the UK, there’s no doubt that these fixtures will soon become widely used by many industry professionals.” He continues, “With our current exceptionally healthy order book, we can now build larger fixture pools for the production companies, enabling the largest of events to be covered. This was our original goal last year, and will continue to be our worldwide goal throughout 2004.”
Robe Show Lighting’s MD Josef Valchar adds, “Frankfurt a great show – and we have met up with all our distributors and customers from around the globe within just two weeks! The response to Robe at both Frankfurt and Rimini confirms that we’re establishing ourselves as a leading quality product manufacturer. We’ll continue to work hard at ensuring we satisfy the demands of the top lighting designers, rental companies and industry practitioners.”
